Sweet Potatoes

Boil sweet potatoes in pot of boiling water until tender

Peel off skin and slice into chunks about 1”

Put potatoes into buttered casserole dish 13×9

On stove cook 4 tbs butter and 1/3 cup brown sugar.  Stir until mixed and melted

Pour mixture on top of potatoes

Continue to make this mixture and pour on top until bottom of pan is filled.

Bake in preheated oven at 350 for 45 minutes to 1 hour.


Green Bean Casserole

2 cans sliced green beans, drained

1 can cream of mushroom soup

¾ cup milk

Dash of pepper

1 can French Fried Onions

Mix green beans, soup, milk & pepper together in casserole dish

Add 1 cup french fried onions on top

Bake at 350 for 35 minutes

Add more French fried onions, bake for additional 5 minutes
